About Us

Thank you for your interest!

We at Welcome United Methodist Church in Landingville, PA will welcome you with open arms and open hearts, your family and your friends. We are a small country Church; simple, caring, and with a friendly atmosphere. We would love to have you join us, and worship with us. We will pray with you or for you, we will laugh or cry with you! We hope that you will stop in, worship with us, and come back again and again.

Just come as you are! We don't look at what you are wearing, we just appreciate you coming! We will Love you just the way you are!

What To Expect When You Visit

Park in the lot, where you find a space. Handicap spots are marked. If there is no space, park across the street, but Please be careful crossing. Cars come around the corner fast.

Our Sunday School starts at 9:15 and end at 10:15, Classes are throughout the building so come in any door, and we will direct you to where you want to be. We have classes for toddlers, children, teens and adults.

Church is at 10:00 every Sunday and runs about one hour. If you are running late, no matter, just come in and find a seat. Bulletins are on the table, on the right side, just inside the double doors. Forgot to pick it up, someone will most likely give you theirs.

Every first Sunday of the month is Communion. Communion is sometimes at the altar rail and other times it is Intinction.

We start with a designated Greeter that will greet you at the door and give you a bulletin. Just find a seat. The Acolyte and organist start the service. The Choir enters, and sings us a lovely song. There are greetings and announcements, an opening hymn and responsive readings. *We have the Children’s message, where the children gather up front, take a penny offering (which they decide where the money goes) take part in a short lesson in the sanctuary, have a prayer and the Sunday School Teacher takes them to Children’s Church (Sunday School Class). SO PLEASE BRING YOUR CHILDREN! We continue the service with joys and concerns, prayers, songs, the offering, and the Sermon as well as Scripture Readings. We close with a song and the Benediction.

Meetings and gatherings are noted in the back of the bulletin. As well as any special events coming up.

COME AS YOU ARE. We are more interested that you came to our Church, than we are of what you are wearing. Some are wearing the traditional Church clothing, as others are wearing casual, and still others are in jeans, and from time to time, there are also sweat pants. You decide, not us!

Every third Sunday, we have a Fellowship Dinner. Everyone brings something to share. A menu is set up weeks before the dinner. It is well planned. If you forgot your dish, do not worry, just join us anyway.

How We Share Our Gifts

The children collect pennies for their offering. They decide once a year, where the money will go. They usually send donations to the S.P.C.A., Ronald McDonald House, Women in Crisis, and any other place they think of.

When the community or people are in need, we try to send donations, or physical labor. We have taken toy donations for needy children at Christmas time, food, when families were in need and many other opportunities when they arise.

Our Mission Team has gone to Puerto Rico 8 times in the last 11 years. Africa once. Mississippi four times to help with the Katrina Hurricane devastation.  And local homes that had other problems.

Recently they have been to North Carolina to help with tornado damage.

We are part of  Team Orwigsburg and we now have a member qualified as a Trained Team Leader.

We donate to the local Fire Company, Camp Inabah, and other organizations throughout the year. We also collect hats, gloves and scarves at Christmas time and donate them to the Red Cross, to be handed out to needy families.
